In the past we wrote about the Vanquish Yachts VQ48 being the Aston Martin of the seas. Well, apparently we were wrong. Aston Martin has it’s own vessel, the AM37, a day-cruiser powerboat that packs a punch in true Aston-Martin fashion. The AM37 marks the entry of Aston Martin into the nautical world. A joint collaborative between Aston Martin engineers, Mulder Design, and Quintessence Yachts, the AM37 takes the lineage and spirit of road-going Aston Martin sports cars and brings it to the ocean. As such the AM37 powerboat is just that, a speed boat capable of speeding up to 50 knots allowing owners to cruise the coast and navigate from land to yacht rather swiftly.
Aston Martin’s EVP & Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman comments that the “AM37 is a pure translation of the Aston Martin DNA into an entirely new maritime concept. The powerboat reflects our values in terms of power, beauty and soul. The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the design language and proportion, we have transferred this DNA into AM37. It was important to us when considering this project to make sure that the boat design was as beautiful and timeless as our cars, the AM37 is a striking boat with fantastic proportion and elegance.”
The 37-foot powerboat comes in two trims, the AM37 and AM37S. The latter of the two trims comes with two, 520 horsepower Mercury petrol engines. Yes, that means 1,040 Horsepower. Or in simpler terms, you basically have the power of two Aston Martin Vanquish’s on tap, at your boating leisure.
