et’s be honest, we never really use axe’s in Miami. Every once in a while our inner outdoorsman comes out, we take a camping trip, buy a super dope axe, play around with it for a couple of hours chopping any random piece of wood in site and then go back home, toss it in god knows what box and then a couple years later we repeat the process. We do however love really cool, high-quality made stuff, regardless of how frequently we use them… and Helko Werk Axe’s definitely fall under the really cool, high-quality stuff we’d never use but want anyway category. Helko Axe heads are drop forged from German C50 high grade carbon steel. That basically means the steel is heated up and hammered to death making it ultra dense and strong enough for Thor to use perpetually. The handles are handcrafted from the finest woods available including sustainably sourced Grade A American Hickory. The finished product is an axe you can split wood with for a century, or toss in your collectible drawer of random cool stuff you’d never use but want anyway. Regardless of the usage, it’s a fine axe nonetheless. Photos via Helko North America.
