Original Grain has been hard at work pioneering the movement that is seamlessly integrating natural hardwoods with stainless steel through innovative, hand-crafted watch designs. Grain patterns are unique, no two watches are the same, materials are sustainably sourced, and every watch sold will plant trees, feed families, and change lives. All of this made possible via partnership with Trees For The Future, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to ending extreme hunger and poverty across Sub-Saharan Africa. This same design innovation and vision has made it’s way to new products.
Today we’ll be looking at two of Original Grain’s bracelets, the Whiskey Barrel bracelet and the Rosewood & Ebony Macrame bracelet. In the hand and on the wrist both bracelets look and feel like premium quality products. The Whiskey Barrel bracelet (lighter colored variant) is significantly heaver on the wrist being composed primarily of stainless steel beads. These are well complemented by four wood beads reclaimed from American Oak Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The Rosewood bracelet is made entirely of ebony and lighter grain Rosewood beads. Each bracelet exhibits it’s centerpiece beads in pairs. The grain on every one of the beads within the pairs unique and as authentic as can be. Both bracelets are adjustable and the pull tabs made easier to fasten with beaded ends. Wearable as a pair, with a watch, or on their own… the bracelets are extremely handsome and look superb on the wrist.
The Whiskey bracelet in our opinion is just slightly the more refined of the two. The embossed clasp adds an extra touch of detail that makes it that much more special versus the laser engraved clasp of the Rosewood. This however is just the slightest of details and overall both bracelets are solid, very well finished pieces. A few other color and material variants are currently available from Original Grain. We’re excited to see the collection and products on offer grow. Cheers.
