We talk about James Bond a lot. Mostly because we have deep inner desires of joining the double-o program and becoming agents ourselves. And then real life hits us in the face. Well, the more recent James Bond is notoriously famous for wearing Omega. As a matter of fact, the only watch brand worn by Bond since Goldeneye in 1995 has been an Omega. What he ought to be wearing however is a Breitling Emergency. Granted the Breitling Emergency looks a bit rugged for the Bond we now know. It’s not to say Daniel Craig isn’t a rugged man. In fact he’s actually one of our more preferred James Bond actors. The Breitling Emergency is however most likely too sporty to wear with one of his suits. For the those of you who live a more Bond-ish lifestyle, the Emergency is definitely one to consider. It’s packed with features that we needn’t delve to deep into because there’s one feature that trumps them all. That would be a built-in dual frequency Personal Locator Beacon. Activating the beacon alerts the Cospas-Sarsat system which is based on a network of satellites in low-altitude earth orbit. After which, hopefully, Search & Rescue teams are dispatched to come and save you from your perils. It’s important to note that activating the beacon should only be done in a life or death scenario. Your three year old sending a distress signal as he plays with your watch while you’re out at the office doesn’t count as an emergency and will most likely incur some hefty consequences.
